For the last decade Manchester-based musician and producer DOVIAK has been best known as the enigmatic guitarist in Johnny Marr's live band, as well as working as a co-producer on his recent run of top ten albums and helping to craft hits like The Messenger, Easy Money and Hi Hello.

In between touring with Johnny Marr, supporting artists including The Killers and Blondie, producing new artists and recording in former Cold War cities, he’s found time to release a string of solo singles and Enemy Numbers EP. Described as “a midnight incursion into territory somewhere between electronica and baroque pop" his debut EP featured cryptic songs of espionage, seduction and betrayal, woven into a tapestry of analogue synths, tremolo guitars and John Barry-esque orchestration.

Now he returns with new single, Wait For The World -  a song about loss, facing up to responsibility and ultimately redemption. Balladic with a psychedelic twist of synthwave, melancholic yet uplifting - imagine Jesus and Mary Chain meets The Horrors with melancholic Joy Division-esque vocals.

The single is the first in a series of new releases from DOVIAK with a new EP expected in early 2024.
